(ConservativeJournal.org) – The NYC mayor’s office is injecting a fresh round of cash into the controversial program which distributes prepaid debit cards to illegal aliens loafing about the city. The NY State Comptroller’s office had previously reported that the city spent $1.47 billion in FY2023 on all expenses for so-called “asylum seekers” or “undocumented immigrants.” That same office reported spending nearly double, or $2.72 billion in FY2024, and that period won’t end until September.
The latest injection to the free-money-for-illegals program (not its real name of course, if an accurate description) brings the whopping total of taxpayer dollars spent on illegals to over $2 billion for the year. The mayor’s underlings including Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services Anne Williams-Isom highlighted that the program helps families with children buy things they need as soon as they arrive in the city. Isn’t that fabulous?
She said that the funds help support their small businesses, allow them to purchase locally, and are helping them achieve “self-sufficiency” as well as “the American dream.”
Illegals living in hotels that they don’t have to pay for while getting deliveries of food they don’t have to pay for are also getting debit cards that get regularly re-upped with cash they haven’t earned by working at a job like most Americans. Mayor Eric Adams defended the initiative saying that it was designed to replace deliveries of food and other supplies. Imagine if we just deported them back to their countries of origin instead of giving them free money and a place to stay.
The amount given out per week is based on “family size” but since there isn’t mandatory genetic testing, there’s no way to know if the “families” are families. This creates an interesting incentive for human trafficking. Sen. Chuck Grassley and other members of Congress have known about the phenomenon of renting babies for years, it was discovered during the previous Trump administration which is why Trump’s border patrol “separated families” at the border, as the left loves to claim. Biden’s DOJ has repeatedly attempted to conceal the issue and obscure the fact that children are trafficked to facilitate not-only criminal entry into the U.S. but also as props to secure resources through government programs.
What ultimately happens to those children is anyone’s guess and Biden officials don’t seem to care.
