(ConservativeJournal.org) – In a shocking turn of events it seems the corporate press has suddenly become willing to call President Joe Biden out on his flagrant attempts at deception. One analyst with a major outlet highlighted a claim Biden made recently about his polling. Senior political reporter Harry Enten pointed out that “Biden made a false statement” regarding previous elections and polling.
Biden had previously claimed during an interview with BET on July 17 that many past presidents were suffering from bad polling at this point in the cycle and additionally claimed that most of them went on to win their respective elections. Enten said whether it was a conscious lie or he was simply misinformed is debatable, but either way Biden was flat out wrong.
Enten explained that he didn’t believe the statement when he heard it due to his experience studying polling and analyzing data and so he went back and checked the data. He reviewed the previous eight elections and when he compared the polling, six-of-eight previous cycles revealed that Biden was completely backward with his claim. Most of the presidents who had polling like Biden does at this point went on to lose the general election.
Enten added that he didn’t know if Biden was actively lying or misunderstanding the available facts. He said clearly that past presidents who polled like Biden is now lost their elections.
Enten highlighted Biden’s approval rating is below 40% with disapproval climbing above 50%. He elaborated that one has to go back to 1948 to locate an incumbent with similarly bad polling who won the general election.
Biden’s fib is just one of the headline-generating bits from his BET interview. He also told audiences that should he be told by his doctors that he has a serious medical condition, he’d be willing to step aside and let Kamala Harris be president. It is unclear whether Biden will step down from the presidency, but on July 21, he released a letter announcing he is pulling out of the presidential campaign and endorsing Harris.
Biden’s campaign also announced a positive test result for an infamous hysteria-inducing respiratory virus later that day. Trump supporters joked that Biden got a cold and had to go into hiding while Trump was shot and went to the RNC anyway in comments on social media.
