(ConservativeJournal.org) – A Space Force commander who was removed from his post due to his rejection of woke ideology and critical race theory sat down with the corporate press to discuss how the military has become a hotbed of Marxism under the guise of promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier previously was in charge of the 11th Space Warning Squadron stationed at Buckley Air Force Base. Lohmeier was chastised and later fired due to his self-published book Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military.
During the interview, Lohmeier highlighted the belief inherent in critical race ideology that white people have some advantage due to being the majority skin color which requires experts in DEI to correct the situation by offering advantages to minorities in terms of reducing requirements for job/educational program entry or promoting them ahead of white people despite not being equivalent in skill or accomplishments. The rationale has been criticized as a modern reimagining of affirmative action programs which did the same thing in the 1990s.
Lohmeier was ultimately fired because leadership lost confidence and suggested he was engaged in “prohibited partisan political activity.” Curiously, he was pointing out that precise thing happening within the military. Lohmeier countered the claim that he wasn’t promoting a political party or candidate, merely pointing out that Marxism had taken root in the military despite a recently popular Republican president.
Lohmeier lost his pension due to the firing, which demonstrates one way ideologues in organizations control subordinates: those who don’t get with the program are purged and/or threatened with loss of income. He additionally highlighted that the claims of the military desiring “diversity” isn’t accurate, they only want superficial diversity, not true ideological and philosophical diversity.
President Joe Biden has enacted numerous woke ideological policies in the military, including allowing cross-dressing openly as well as other forms of gender-bending amongst the brass and rank and file. That had been banned during the Trump administration. Biden also instructed Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to root out “domestic extremism” within the military which has largely been flagged as cover for rooting out conservatives like Lohmeier.
The Pentagon spends hundreds of millions on DEI and associated programs, and it’s not quite clear what we’re purchasing with all those tax dollars.
