(ConservativeJournal.org) – Three individuals were arrested for running high-end brothels in Boston and Virginia, allegedly servicing a clientele that included elected officials, executives, doctors, military officers, and others.
Han Lee, James Lee, and Junmyung Lee, the individuals facing charges, are accused of conspiring to coerce and entice individuals into participating in illegal adult activity. They allegedly ran an interstate prostitution network, operating brothels in both Massachusetts and Virginia since at least July 2020. The infrastructure included rented apartments with monthly rents as high as $3,664.
The defendants allegedly persuaded primarily Asian women to travel to engage in prostitution. High-end apartments served as brothel locations, where women were encouraged to stay overnight. The prostitution network was advertised on websites such as bostontopten10.com and browneyesgirlsva.blog, presenting itself as offering professional photography with nude Asian models. Clients completed a verification process for appointments, submitting personal details.
The defendants used local brothel phone numbers to communicate with verified customers. Text exchanges included a “menu” of available options and directions to the brothel’s location. Appointments cost between $350 and $600 per hour, paid in cash. The prostitution proceeds were allegedly concealed by depositing cash into personal bank accounts and using peer-to-peer transfers. Money orders, purchased in amounts avoiding reporting requirements, were used for rent and utilities.
The investigation revealed a diverse clientele, including politicians, executives, doctors, military officers, and more. The three accused were charged with conspiracy, carrying potential sentences of up to five years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000. Acting U.S. Attorney Joshua S. Levy, along with law enforcement agencies, announced the arrests.
This clandestine prostitution ring targeted wealthy and influential individuals. The accused, spanning various professions, operated multiple brothels, using online platforms to attract clients. The rented high-end apartments served as discreet locations, and the defendants allegedly facilitated every aspect of the illicit activities, from travel coordination to overnight stays in multiple states, prompting continued scrutiny and legal action.
