Massive Reward To Find Who Killed LA Sheriff’s Deputy

(ConservativeJournal.org) – A reward of $250,000 is being offered for information leading to the identification of the person or people responsible for the shooting of a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy in his patrol car.

Deputy Clinkunbroomer was pronounced dead at a local hospital, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna. Sheriff Luna expressed outrage at the attack. At a news conference on Sunday, September 17, he called it an attack not only on law enforcement, but on the community.

A reward of $100,000 was initially set up by The County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors. The city of Palmdale then matched with the same amount. An additional $50,000 to the reward was put up by the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs.

As of now, no suspect description has been provided, and it remains unknown who shot Deputy Clinkunbroomer. In the released video footage, his patrol car can be seen next to a possible point of interest for investigators – a Toyota Corolla.

The possible vehicle used by the suspect was posted by the LA County Sheriff’s Department. The department wants the public to look over the footage for the chance that somebody might find identifying information.

There is no motive discovered yet for the shooting, but signs indicate it was a specific and targeted attack. Sheriff Luna emphasized the need for the community to assist in solving this crime, stating that someone has crucial information that could help bring the suspect to justice.

Similar ambushes have happened in LA in the past. Three years ago, two Los Angeles deputies were ambushed and shot while sitting in their patrol vehicle at a train station. Eighty-three ambushes against officers in 2023 have resulted in more than 100 officers being shot, and 15 of those officers have since died, according to a September 5 report from the Fraternal Order of Police.
