Kyle Rittenhouse New Book Causes A Stir

(ConservativeJournal.org) – Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager who fatally shot two Black Lives Matter protesters in Wisconsin in 2020 is poised to release a book titled “Acquitted.” This comes after Rittenhouse, then 17, used a AR-15-style rifle during a Kenosha protest, resulting in the deaths of 36-year-old Joseph Rosenbaum, and Anthony Huber, 26. A third individual, Gaige Grosskreutz, 26, sustained injuries.

Following the incident, Rittenhouse faced charges including first-degree intentional homicide and recklessly endangering safety. Arguing self-defense, he was acquitted of multiple charges, including homicide, in 2021, a decision that stirred divisive reactions. The protest unfolded amid demonstrations over the shooting of Jacob Blake, a black man, by a white Kenosha police officer.

Describing his book as a “story of survival, resilience, and justice,” Rittenhouse aims to convey positive messages about navigating the aftermath of the shooting and the subsequent legal proceedings. The book, according to a spokesperson, delves into Rittenhouse’s unconventional journey into adulthood, reflecting on the challenges he faced and the lessons learned.

Since his acquittal, Rittenhouse has appeared on Fox News, using the platform to criticize the media and politicians, including President Joe Biden. Earlier this year, he took a stance against a Texas state house bill seeking to raise the minimum age for purchasing semi-automatic weapons from 18 to 21. This move followed the Uvalde school shooting.

In a parallel development, John Huber, Anthony Hubers father, who was one of the aforementioned victims, filed a lawsuit of wrongful death against Rittenhouse. This adds a legal dimension to the aftermath of the incident, reflecting the ongoing repercussions for those involved. The wrongful death suit has not yet reached a conclusion.

Rittenhouse’s book release is expected to give more context to his perspective on the events during the protest, especially the shooting, and the subsequent trial, providing insights into his personal growth and reflections on a tumultuous period thrust into the national spotlight.
