Attorney General Vows To Hold Kansas City Accountable After Doxxing Kicker

(ConservativeJournal.org) – Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey intends to hold Kansas City government officials responsible after someone who had control over the city’s social media account publicly named the town in which controversial Kansas City Chiefs’ kicker Harrison Butker lives. Butker has become a lightning rod for leftist criticism after giving a twenty-minute commencement speech at Benedictine College wherein he gave a passionate defense of traditional family values and a heavy critique of church and government leaders.

Butker also suggested that women have been sold a “diabolical lie” that they need to pursue financial or career success when for many their true calling is becoming a wife and mother. He added that he wouldn’t be the man he was today without the loving support of his wife and highlighted how the duty of both men and women is first to God and family before worldly pursuits.

Shortly after Butker’s speech went viral, the Kansas City government account announced the town in which Butker lived within the state. Bailey said he planned to enforce state law to ensure that no one in his state is targeted for freely expressing their religious beliefs.

The Kansas City government account claimed the tweet was “shared in error” and apologized shortly after a mass deluge of criticism followed the doxxing. Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas suggested the act was “clearly inappropriate,” in communications with the press. The only action seemingly being taken in response was a promise to “review account access.” The person responsible was not named nor otherwise publicly reprimanded.

Some have suggested that the culprit was Kansas City Press Secretary Sherae Honeycutt. Honeycutt would have had access to the account as press secretary and she shared multiple posts critical of Butker on her personal timeline. A user identified her in a response to Lucas who was subsequently blocked by the mayor’s social media manager.

Butker’s speech has largely been mischaracterized by detractors with slanderous accusations. In reality, it was a rather basic defense of traditional Catholic perspectives by a traditional Catholic. You can watch the whole thing here.
