(ConservativeJournal.org) – The rumors of Michelle Obama’s presidential aspirations have been greatly exaggerated, according to her director of communications. Crystal Carson put rumors of a potential return of the Obamas to the White House to rest on Tuesday, March 5. Carson is Obama’s communications director, and in speaking with NBC News, she said that the rumors were categorically untrue and that Michelle wouldn’t be running.
Carson added that Mrs. Obama is supporting the Biden-Harris re-election campaign. Michelle’s candidacy typically becomes a rumor every presidential cycle since she was First Lady due to her popularity. She’s expressed previously, several times, that she holds no desire to pursue the office. Despite her denials, Megyn Kelly assured her viewers that there was a plan to bring her out during the Democratic National Convention to replace the elderly and demented Joe Biden.
Biden’s mental health has been a constant source of negative press. The problem has become undeniable in the wake of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report on the Biden documents scandal. Hur reported that while Biden likely did violate the law, putting him on trial would be a disaster. He said Biden betrayed serious gaps in his memory, highlighting how he couldn’t recall the year his son died (2015) or when he was vice president (2011-2017).
A recent straw poll from the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) showed 56% of attendees believed that Joe Biden won’t be the next Democratic candidate for president in November; 47% of them believed it will be Michelle Obama. Similarly, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) predicted the Democrats would ditch Biden and replace him with Michelle Obama.
Biden’s poll numbers have been terrible, and are widely indicating Biden can’t beat Trump in a free contest. At the very least, it will be a close election. A lot will depend on who shows up to vote.
Biden’s major problems include the southern border crisis, the Ukraine-Russia and Israel-Hamas wars, inflation keeping the economy sluggish, and criticism regarding his declining mental state.
