(ConservativeJournal.org) – Infamous firebrand Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) wants to see activists who threw a protest in the Capitol on Tuesday, December 19th arrested and charged with “insurrection.”
The group of roughly 60 individuals was busted for throwing an illegal protest in the Capitol Rotunda, according to U.S Capitol Police sources. The group was protesting the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict and demanding a ceasefire. The activists entered and went through security before beginning their shenanigans.
USCP officials said they were aware of the planned protest activity and had extra security on hand to deal with it, something that did not occur on January 6th despite ample advanced warnings.
Greene has argued many times that January 6th was not an insurrection by any stretch of the imagination despite Democrat attempts to paint it as such. In her post on X (Twitter) she suggested that the protesters be sent to the same D.C. detention facility as the January 6 defendants. The facility has been under fire for treating the prisoners poorly.
Greene asked if activist Linda Sarsour was involved with the demonstration. Sarsour is a Palestinian-American activist who has been a vocal critic of Israel and a supporter of the Boycott, Divest, Sanction (BDS) movement.
Critics accused the group of engaging in antisemitism and suggested that the treatment of the protesters was unequal when compared to how the January 6th protesters have been treated, many of whom did not engage in any violent or destructive behavior.
Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) posted on X, saying that we were told that this behavior constitutes a serious federal offense three years ago and wondered sarcastically if Biden’s DOJ or the FBI would be investigating and arresting the offenders.
Democrat supporters pointed out there was no interruption to Congressional proceedings nor any forced entry into the building.
Greene previously suggested “Democrats and their propagandists” should be subject to jail time for the contrived Russia-collusion hoax which originated from deceptive claims written in the Steele Dossier; paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign.
