8 Killed In Crash Involving Suspected Human Smuggler

(ConservativeJournal.org) – On March 13, a 22-year-old U.S. citizen named Rassian Comer was involved in a high-speed chase with authorities in Texas. The nature of what he was doing in the vehicle may be up for a legal debate, but the fact that he was driving a truck and running from police is not.

Before he crashed his truck, Rassian had been live-streaming the pursuit. The reason for his attempted evasion is because he was allegedly smuggling a number of illegal aliens at the time, a number of whom were killed when his vehicle finally came to a stop.

In addition to those deaths were another two fatalities. The now-indicted alleged smuggler had blown through an intersection and side-swiped an American grandmother who was driving with her American granddaughter. They both died at the scene.

With their congressman’s blessing, the pair’s surviving family members confronted Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas during his immigration-related April testimony before members of the U.S. House. Mayorkas was put on the spot and offered what appeared to be an apology for his failure to secure the nation’s southern border.

If history is an indication, Mayorkas may be made to apologize yet again. On November 8, another fiery crash involving suspected illegal immigrants colliding with documented U.S. citizens took place in Texas. According to authorities, a Honda sedan that was transporting at least five illegal aliens crashed head-on into an SUV with two American citizens.

The Highway 57 collision was said to have occurred when the Honda attempted to pass a tractor trailer in what authorities indicated was a no-passing stretch of road. The Sheriff’s Department for Zavala County confirmed that the occupants of the initiating vehicle were indeed in the country illegally, but did not offer a status on the car’s driver other than to identify them as an alleged smuggler.

The crash and ensuing inferno claimed eight total lives.
